How to Find Art on a Budget

While art can be expensive there are ways you can but back on the cost. Trying to redecorate your house or office on a budget can be a hassle but it can be done. While you won’t be able to afford an original Van Gogh Starry Night you can find some bargains out there. Here are a few tips for finding art on a budget:

Estate Sales – You can often pick up oil paintings for sale at estate auctions for little to nothing. While they will probably not be a painting from a world famous artist, if it is good and the painting speaks to you, just go with it. There have been rare cases where people have picked up a painting at estate sale that ended up being worth millions of dollars when it is discovered it was by a famous artist.

Prints – Prints are a great way to collect your favorite paintings without spending a fortune. While they will never match a real painting they can be a great way to dress up a room. They are widely available and most famous paintings are available as prints. Check out local art galleries or even museum gift shops for the best selections. Framing them adds a bit of class but you can just hang them on the wall like a poster as well.
